Finding Hope: Friday Noonday Concert
Musicians Club of Women Chicago and Fourth Presbyterian Church, Chicago present Elizabeth Shuman, soprano, and Young jee Cho, piano in a recital, Finding Hope. Works by Shawn Okpebholo, Josephine Lang, and a world premiere performance of a new song by Marybeth Kurnat. Paul von Hoff featured on alto trombone.
Many of us have come to a deeper understanding of darkness in our lives. Through pandemic deaths and loss, fear of war, and growing divisiveness, we have found ourselves enduring realities that once seemed like horrific nightmares. This program faces that darkness and explores various ways we find hope.
